Welcome

(Please note that we are in the process of updating our web site in order to provide more up to date information and assistance. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.)

The Mothers' Union is a worldwide Christian organisation (predominantly Anglican) which promotes the well being of families throughout the world.  We achieve this by:

  • developing prayer and spiritual growth in families
  • studying and reflecting on family life and it place in society
  • resourcing our members to take practical action to improve conditions for families in the communities in which they live, both nationally and internationally

The Mothers' Union welcomes as members Christian men and women, married or single, who have been baptised in the Trinity and have a desire to help stabilise family life throughout the world.  As a voluntary organisation, the MU offers friendship, care and unconditional support to thousands of families throughout the world; a lifeline to many in distress.  It is a praying teaching and caring society, and can offer a use for your skills, or training to acquire new ones.

Joining the MU involves a simple enrolment service (usually in a church service) and a small yearly subscription.  The subscription includes the annual cost of four copies of Home & Family, the MU magazine, and four copies of our diocesan magazine In Touch.

The Mothers' Union has 1,000,000 members in 62 countries, with 122,000 members in the UK alone.
